Welcome to Morocco!
Our guide will pick you up at Marrakech airport and transfer you to your accommodation. Depending on your flight’s arrival time, a first-day visit to the Souks – the famous markets close by is possible. You can feel the city’s energy, the colors, and the smells are amazing. Just enjoy yourself exploring or take some time to rest for the days to come. This is just the first step of your exciting journey on the Atlas and the Roses Valley tour.

MARRAKECH FREE DAY
Experience the Moroccan city!
After your first Moroccan breakfast, it’s time to immerse yourself in an experience that provides you with a rare opportunity to see and experience an ancient city that embraces modernity. Marrakesh is one of the great citadels of the Muslim world and, one of Morocco’s Imperial Cities alongside Fes, Rabat, and Méknes. It was founded in 1062 by Sultan Youssef Ben Tachfine, leader of the Moroccan Almoravid empire. Besides its rich history, Marrakesh is Africa’s first Capital of Culture. It’s a city full of charm. There are museums, monuments, gardens, restaurants, and the famous Jemaa el-Fna. Today you will explore this magnificent city, from its labyrinthine medina (old city), the town’s star attraction. The colors, scents, and sounds will show you why this place is a must-sightseeing highlight of your trip. Get ready for a unique experience!

DAY 3
MARRAKECH TO AIT BEN HADDOU
The Road
After breakfast, we will say goodbye to the city and drive across the Western High Atlas through traditional Berber villages towards Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2.260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco. From here, we will continue on a brisk 2-hour hike, where it’s possible to admire the incredible mountain views and the surprising richness of the region. Then, we will drive through a beautiful valley until reach the Kasbah of Aït-Ben-Haddou village, a place built ten centuries ago, surrounded by an outstanding nature of palmers, mountains, and rivers. An incredible spot that was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

DAY 4
AIT BEN HADDOU TO BOULMANE DADES
Morocco’s Hollywood
After breakfast, you will discover the secrets of Aït-Ben-Haddou village (2h hike). Known as “Morocco’s Hollywood”, it has been used as a base for many films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, Gladiator, and even Game of Thrones. Besides its international presence, Aït-Ben-Haddou is much more than a pretty movie backdrop. The history of this incredible and fortified village stretches back over a thousand years and is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco. En route in what is commonly known as the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs, it will be possible to visit the Kasbah Amridil. Considered one of Morocco’s grandest kasbahs, Amridil is a fortress originally built in the 17th century. Prepare yourself to explore one of Morocco’s most iconic living museums. Then, we will continue our journey to another special location known as the Roses Valley, since this region is the biggest producer of rose oil and water in the whole country, which gives its name. A special place where happens the Rose Festival which celebrates the season’s rose harvest— is a must-see! Then, we head up to Boulmane Dades, where we spend the night.

DAY 5
OLEANDER VALLEY
A great hike day!
This will be the great hike of the trip! Transfer to Alemdoun village where we will start the hike. We quietly descend a valley of oleanders (plan to across the gorges with sandals). For 1h we follow across an impressive gorge, but very exotic with its oleanders for arrival in the valley of Elhout with its beautiful casbahs. A large village with several beautiful houses, Lunch by the river near the village of Aznag, we then across after 1 hour of walking we will arrive close to the village of Boutarhrar.

DAY 6
DADES GORGES AND MONKEY FINGERS
Admiring the impressive Gorges of Todra.
Today we will explore the dramatic Dades Gorges, a series of rugged gorges carved out by the Dades River. This area is known for the stunning rock formations and the Kasbah along the gorge.
Here, you will discover another striking landscape, the impressive eroded sandstone formations called the Monkey Fingers. Enjoy the walk through a place that is simply mesmerizing and will show you what nature can do, on its own. These spectacular rock formations, also called “Cliffs of Tamlalt” present themselves like fingers rising from the river. You will have a short hike on an incredible canyon and Berber village around Monkey Fingers!

SKOURA PALMERIE AND OUARZAZATE
A breathtaking oasis!
Today we will visit Skoura and do a short hike. Skoura is a breathtaking oasis full of palm trees. Along the way, you will pass through villages, abandoned houses, and sun-dried bricks, as well as cultivated gardens with almond, fig, olive, and date palm trees. You will be able to hear over a hundred different bird species twittering, chirping, cooing, croaking, and chattering. The snow-covered Atlas in the background makes a charming view in the spring. Then, we will drive To the city of Ouarzazate. Some time to visit the medina and overnight at a local Riad

RETURN MARRAKESH
