DAY 1
ARRIVAL AT MARRAKESH
Welcome to Marrakesh!
Full of colors and shades, smells and fragrances, charm, and seduction, Marrakesh has more than 1.000 years of stories to tell you. The best starting point, don’t you think? We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your first accommodation. In the afternoon, enjoy a little walk in the city, where you can see the beautiful El-Badi Palace, the historical walls of the city, the labyrinthic markets, or the sunset in Jemaa el-Fna square. Marrakesh has such great architecture, gardens, and exotic atmospheres to discover. Welcome!
DAY 2
MARRAKESH TO ZAGORA
Today we have a long drive journey to the south-east of Morocco.
The drive will take us through the Atlas Mountains until Zagora. The trip is long, but at the end of the day, you will be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset while tasting a traditional tea. On the way, you will have the opportunity to admire the incredible Moroccan scenarios and landscapes.
Situated at the foot of the Jbel Saghro mountain range, Zagora’s most important attraction is the amazing Draa Valley, which is still home to some of Morocco’s tribes. Fulfilled with dusty streets and terracotta buildings, Zagora is a place inevitably connected with the Sahara Desert, the perfect starting point for our MTB journey. So, relax and prepare yourself to dive into a country full of history, beautiful landscapes, and unforgettable trails.
DAY 3
ZAGORA TO N’KOB
Discover a truly hidden gem of Morocco!
Our adventure starts along the legendary Draa Valley. After breakfast, we will leave the well-known door of the Sahara desert and cycle through its palm groves and ksour (fortified villages) until the Berber oasis of N’Koub that lies in the looming mountains of Jbel Saghro. With more than forty kasbahs, N’Kob is considered one of Morocco’s best-kept secrets. From the desert to the mountains, this day will be marked not only by the contrast of the panoramic views and the big flat and dry areas but also by a special atmosphere for those who love a new challenge. A day fulfilled by incredible trails and single tracks.
DAY 4
N’KOB TO KALAAT M’GOUNA
Explore Berkou’s best mountain trails.
Deep in the heart of Souss-Massa-Drâa, today we will ride until the small town of Kalaat M’Gouna. Located in the south entrance to the Dades Gorges, it is famous for its roses and daggers, especially during the town’s signature rose festival. This challenging and long day begins with an exciting climb that will lead us until Tizi n’Assmdal Malloul (1.885 m). From this incredible high point, we can admire nice views and breath the pure o the mountains. On the way, we will pass by some villages as Berkik, Taoudacht, and Ait Hamouchane and cross several rivers.
DAY 5
KALAAT M’GOUNA LOOP
It’s time to cycle in the backyards o the Atlas Mountains.
Morocco is for sure a country of contrasts. Today we will explore the surroundings of the beautiful Atlas Mountains, known by local Berbers as “Idraren Draren” (mountain of mountains). Between its Jurassic peaks and its Mediterranean climate, we find an incredible network of fertile valleys. It is in this incredible paradise that we will ride today, looking forward to the most authentic Berber culture and its authentic ways of life. This circular day starts on the M’Goun foothills, along the valley of oued (river) M’Goun, where each curve will surprise you with new and fantastic landscapes. Then, as our ride take us through the deep heart of the Berber culture, you will discover nice valleys and villages like the famous Bou Thrarar village with its Arabic fortification, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages in the Valley of Roses.
DAY 6
KALAAT M’GOUNA TO DADES
A fantastic day riding through the Dades Gorges!
Today we will explore the magnificent views of the fantastic Dades Gorges. Sitting in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the Dades Gorges are characterized by a dramatic landscape carved by the Dades river, which separates Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountain range. This area is known for the stunning rock formations and the kasbahs along the gorge. With its wild landscape and its ancient rust-red and mauve mountains stripped back to zigzagging layers of strata, this day will be unforgettable, especially when we achieve the fantastic serpent road over the gorge – a must-see place that will simply take your breath away. This magnificent high winding road offers spectacular and panoramic views and is considered one of the most scenic roads in the world. As we ride up the mountain, we will cross a series o crumbling kasbahs and ksour (fortified) villages.
DAY 7
DADES TO TINGHIR
Exploring the Todra Gorge, one of the world’s most spectacular canyons!
Our last day will be epic! We will ride across one of Morocco’s top attractions, a paradise for photography-enthusiastic and MTB lovers. With orange and red limestone canyon walls that reach over 500 m in height and a unique type of beauty, that leads us until the immense green palmeries of Tinghir, once you cycle here. Morocco will never be the same for you!
A day that will lead us through the dramatically beautiful Todra Canyon and its surrounding villages, wherein some places only 10 m separates one wall to the other, making for sure, this impressive place one of Morocco’s most beautiful natural wonders. The day ends in Tinghir, a town located at the center of one of the most impressive oases. The scenery is just incredibly beautiful and invites us to explore this awesome city!
DAY 8
TINGHIR TO MARRAKESH
A Morocco trip is incomplete without spending some time to get lost in Marrakesh.
After these incredible days of mountain biking, it’s time to return to the busy and bustling city of Marrakesh. Marrakesh is a former imperial city and one of the most popular locations in Morocco. It is home to beautiful mosques, palaces, and gardens, as well as the famous souk market. Among the smells and the colors that are so traditional of this culture, it is in Jemaa el-Fna Souk that we feel the true energy of this city! Remember, haggling is the secret of business!
DAY 9
DEPARTURE
This is it! It went by so fast.
Today, it is time to gather all your memories, luggage, belongings, and say goodbye to Morocco. Depending on the time of your flight you still have time in the morning to visit the city and maybe have your last drink of flavored tea or do some last-minute shopping in the big markets. It has been a great adventure, and we would love for you to come and discover more of Morocco’s Nature Trails. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to Marrakesh Airport, where we say our goodbyes, and we hope you had a wonderful time.
