DAY 1
ARRIVAL AT MARRAKESH
Welcome to Marrakesh!
Today we’ll meet you at the airport and transfer you to your first hotel in Marrakesh. Isn’t it a lovely city? In the afternoon, enjoy a little walk along the city to see the great architecture and exotic colors, smells, and foods that will excite you for the coming days. Let the Hidden Atlas Mountains tour begin.

DAY 2
MARRAKESH TO IMILCHIL
Discovering the incredible waterfalls of Ouzoud!
After breakfast, we leave in the direction of Azilal. Along the way, we will visit the waterfalls of Ouzoud, a special place where the abundance of water, vegetation, and animals such as monkeys and birds makes it unique. The most impressive is the waterfall with 100m in height. Take some minutes to refresh your feet for the next days. Later we will discover the beautiful mountains. As soon as we arrive at Imilchil we will taste the typically flavored teas of Morocco in our accommodation and we will find our team of muleteers that will help us for the days to come. Before dinner, in the hotel, we can take a walk to relax from the car ride and to get to know the traditional life of these Berber villages.

DAY 3
IMILCHIL TO TIRGHIST
The famous Isli and Tilsit lakes!
After a traditional breakfast, it’s time to discover the famous lakes of Imilchil. In Amazigh, Tislit means the wife, and Isli means the husband. In the old days, Morocco was a Berber country, where the stories and myths were very present. One of the legends tells us why these two lakes were named like this. It’s about an impossible love between two Berbers from different tribes, a sort of “Romeu and Juliet” Moroccan style. They decided to flee to the mountains where they began to cry because of their fate. Their tears poured out soon and formed the twin lakes. After crossing the lakes, we will start climbing to Tizi n’Issoual (2580m), where the great views over the mountains and valleys are simply amazing. On the way we will have the opportunity to cross by some nomad families. At the end of the day, we will settle down our tents for the night.

DAY 4
TIRGHIST TO ASSAKA
Crossing the magnificent valley views.
Today we continue crossing the magnificent valley walking through the middle of the mountains between the cedars and oak trees. We are officially in the National Park of the High Eastern Atlas. As we continue climbing along the happy valleys of Morocco we will reach the Tizi n’Ait Brahim. After we continue to the Tatroute gorges that will take us to Assaka, where we will pass the night.

DAY 5
ASSAKA TO ARHEDDOU
Discovering the authentic path of Morocco!
Today we leave Assaka behind and depart across a beautiful path that will take us to Tizi n’Ighil (2690m). After this incredible ascending, we will descend to Arheddou, one of the most authentic villages in Morocco. Here you will experience the true Moroccan traditions – one of the best parts of the Hidden Atlas Mountains tour.

DAY 6
ARHEDDOU TO AQUA N’OUANIN
Discovering new landscapes.
Today we leave the village of Arheddou and go-ahead to Tazizaoute (2400m). As we appreciate the local nature and landscapes, we can see that it becomes arider. After, it’s time to descend until the town of Zabzbat. By the end of the day we will arrive at Aqua n’ouanin where we will spend the night.

DAY 7
AQUA N’OUANIN TO IMILCHIL
The last day on the valley.
A beautiful day awaits us. We start our day hiking through Tizi N’irig until we arrive at the Agouni waterfall. Here we can relax and as soon as we arrive at the plateau of the lakes, we can once again, admire the beautiful colors of the valley. The return to Imilchil will be through a different path. In the end, the typical mint tea and homemade pastries are waiting for us. Finally, time to relax!

DAY 8
IMILCHIL TO MARRAKESH
It’s time to return to the busy and bustling city of Marrakesh.
After breakfast, we have a long day ahead of us. Cross the mountains and go down to the plateau of Ouarzazate, where we stop to eat and visit the Kasbah of Taourirte, a symbol of the city and UNESCO’s top eight wonders of Morocco. Finally, we cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n ‘Tichka pass, bringing us to the vibrant city of Marrakech by late afternoon. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and with thousands of years of history, it has a lot to show us. Be enticed by its colors and delicious aromas, listen to the buzz of its shoppers bartering for bargains, and admire the beautiful handmade crafts and trinkets around you. Experience a place full of magic that changes from day to night.

MARRAKESH
Visiting the electric city of Marrakesh.
An extraordinary cultural day awaits you, as we dedicate this day to the magnificent city of Marrakesh. This is one of the most visited cities in Morocco and it is protected by 19 kilometers of walls (whose colors vary between pink and red), nine monumental gates, and 200 square towers (Borjs). They used to protect their sultan Youssef ben Tachfine in 1062, and now they welcome everyone to this exciting city. We have the whole day to visit this magical city and its Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, Djemaa el-Fna Square, and the sixteenth-century Saadian tombs, which are among the best examples of Islamic art, thanks to the elaborate decorations and cedar ceilings of the mausoleum. It is time to explore!
