Whether walking in the Sahara Desert, cycling in the Atlas Mountains, or on any adventure, even an easy trail can be tough if it doesn’t match your fitness level. Our guide experts have carefully created these grades considering the route’s length, gradient, distance, and difficulty.
CHOOSE YOUR GRADE
The grading system starts with Cultural and Easy, representing our easiest tours with short distances and low elevation gain. From that, it goes up to the Extreme level, the most challenging tour, requiring an amount of fitness and willpower!
If you are an art or culture lover, then this is the grade to choose. Additionally, with a local as your guide, you will visit and discover the best Moroccan highlights. Furthermore, you can expect simple and short walks in some of the most iconic places in Morocco. Ultimately, it’s an adventure into the heart of this beautiful country, where our goal is to get your senses tingling.
Our easiest tours are particularly recommended for newcomers and families. Specifically, they feature short distances on flat terrain with no notable hills or steep gradients. Moreover, these tours typically last 2 to 3 hours per day.
A typical stage would be
Hiking: 5 to 10km
Hybrid Cycling: 15 to 25km, low ascent
Road Cycling: 20 to 30km, low ascent
Leisurely tours will suit those who have some experience and average fitness through regular exercise. Moreover, you can find some hills with possible short gradients of low percentages. These tours typically last 3 to 4 hours per day.
A typical stage would be
Hiking: 7 to 12km, max 400m up
Hybrid Cycling: 30 to 50km, max 500m up
Road Cycling: 30 to 60km, max 500m up
Mountain Biking: 20 to 40km, max 500m up
These tours are for regular cyclists and hikers and demand a better standard of fitness and ability, usually gained through regular exercise in cycling or hiking. As a result, expect some long days with climbs, lasting 3 to 6 hours per day.
A typical stage would be
Hiking: 10 to 20km, max 800m up
Hybrid Cycling: 40 to 70km, max 1000m up
Road Cycling: 50 to 80km, max 1200m up
Mountain Biking: 30 to 70km, max 1000m up
These itineraries are designed for stronger cyclists and hikers with a good level of fitness. Specifically, there will be challenging climbs along the way or very long days. Moreover, MTB tours require good bike handling and off-road experience, lasting 4 to 8 hours per day.
A typical stage would be
Hiking: 15 to 25km, max 1200m up
Hybrid Cycling: 50 to 90km, max 1600m up
Road Cycling: 70 to 130km, max 1800m up
Mountain Biking: 50 to 90km, max 1600m up
These tours are for avid bikers and hikers who should be very experienced. Additionally, these trips really do require a substantial amount of fitness and plenty of physical endurance too. They typically last 5 to 10 hours per day.
A typical stage would be
Hiking: 15 to 30km, max 1600m up
Hybrid Cycling: 50 to 120km, max 2500m up
Road Cycling: 80 to 160km, max 2500m up
